Dark Nun

Shrouded in shadows, where silence abides,
she walks the path where the soul slowly dies.
The dark nun, to darkness aligned,
a whisper of night, as soft as the mind.

Her visage concealed, the light long withdrawn,
marks of the darkness deep-carved and forlorn.
Tattooed are her sins, etched is her pain,
scars like verses on pallid remains.

Her breath reeks of smoke, her robe cold and still,
she weaves dark prayers, ancient and ill.
In eyes made of ashes, the moon shows no light,
her smile, a promise of ultimate blight.

Banished from halls where once bells rang so clear,
her footsteps now echo through chasms of fear.
The darkness embraces, she yields to its might,
a vow born of oblivion – the nun of the night.
