Fallen

An angel fell from heaven’s light,
Where starlit glow defies the night.
His feathered wings, once pure and bright,
Were torn by storms, now burned in blight.

His fall cut through the clouds so wild,
The earth embraced him, fierce and exiled.
Where Elysium lost his gaze,
The abyss called him through the haze.

The wind, a whisper, hollow, grim,
Carried his dreams, now torn and dim.
His burdened wings, weighed down by sin,
Held all of time’s despair within.

The stars shed tears as he was lost,
The heavens broke beneath the cost.
The love he bore, once high above,
Lay buried deep, denied of love.

Now he wanders in the shade,
Where dawn is but a dim cascade.
A spark of hope, though barely bright,
Still sleeps within, concealed in light.

And sometimes when the mist will break,
A fleeting glow his soul might wake.
His weary eyes recall the past,
Of heaven’s joy—now lost, now vast.
